I Try (Interactive Poetry)

A newcomer this week to my interactive poetry – Charly Priest (Go Check him out!) His words for me were (Slick, Slit, and Wit) and this is what I came up with

I Try

I like to think I’m slick
With a pretty sharp wit
Fitting rhymes in every nick
And every slit
But I guess I’m really not
I’ve never had trouble rhyming
I do however with the plot
And probably my timing
Is a little off too
But I really do try
To do my best for you
Even if my humor is wry
I just want you all to see
How high my goals I had set
But from me
This is the best you get
